Eminent Domain used to build new road to Walt Disney World

The State of Florida has agreed to pay $198 million to acquire the Crossroads shopping center near Walt Disney World. The building will be destroyed to make room for a new road to Walt Disney World. Twenty-five tenants will have to vacate Crossroads by August.  Each of them have made separate agreements and will be paid for their removal. The U.S. Cities Fund received about $149.4 million and $10 million was spent on attorney fees.  You can read the entire article at WDW News Today.
